-
Sessions can be offered in a professional treatment room, in client’s home, or in a home treatment room or other setting that is comfortable for practitioner and volunteer client.
-
It is recommended that volunteer sessions be offered at no charge until course practical requirements have been met. This will also make it easier for fast track students to acquire the necessary volunteer clients quickly for faster certification completion.
-
Students will find their own volunteer clients and may include friends, family members, acquaintances or other members of the community. It is suggested to ask friends and family or social media for referrals to meet requirements of each category quickly.

By the Moon HRP course participants start offering practical energy healing sessions to volunteer clients after receiving Reiki placements in week 10. Sessions can be offered via distance (telephone or computer), in a professional treatment room, in client’s home or in a home treatment room or other environment that is comfortable and appropriate for practitioner and volunteer client.
-
Volunteer practical energy healing sessions can be offered at partial or full fee for all 30 sessions if the student is able to acquire the necessary weekly clients for their course requirement. Free sessions may help students meet course requirements more quickly for faster certification completion.
Practical training workbooks
Students must also complete 2 course workbooks for other practical skills training that include daily practices, reproductive healing practices, comfort measures for birth, positions and movement for birth etc.
Practical Training Supplies
Because fast track training program is more condensed, students will be prepared to start their practical course requirements by the second week of training. Students should be prepared to work with 5-14 volunteer clients per week. Many clients will volunteer to receive their reflexology and/or energy healing sessions every week or bi-weekly. Clients that receive one modality can volunteer to receive the other too. Students can schedule their practice sessions at times that work for them and their clients as long as it does not interfere with live online seminar times. This can include weekend or evening sessions.
Students will have to decide whether they will welcome volunteer clients into their home, offer mobile sessions in client homes or practice in a clinic space (this may or may not incur expense to the student depending on their arrangement). Where a student offers their sessions should be considered when investing in equipment ie. is the table or chair mobile? Does the furniture require the student to sit, stand or sit on the floor? Many of my early reflexology sessions were offered in Lazy Boy chairs in my client's homes while I sat at their feet until I could set up a table in a clinic space. This may be perfectly acceptable for early practice sessions. Students must consider their posture and comfort to prevent injury since they will be offering many sessions each week.
Below is a list of suggested supplies for students to have before course start date. Some of these items can be acquired in excellent used condition. See our video in the student portal (tuition payment required to access) called Build a Busy Reflexology Practice for inspiration about comfort of clients and your equipment.
