Michelle Stroud has been a Holistic Health Practitioner since 2001. Starting her training in reflexology with the Ontario College of Reflexology and moving on to specialize in fertility, pregnancy, birth and postpartum, energy healing and doula support.
Michelle has completed trainings with the Healing Arts Learning Organization (now Doula Canada), Usui Reiki Master Teacher Shawn Rashotte, the International Institute of Reflexology, Dancing for BirthTM, Spinning Babies, Access Consciousness, Delores Cannon and more.
Michelle has been developing curriculum for years, both for her own programs and for other organizations. She has trained students from all over Canada, the United States and abroad to be doulas, Reiki practitioners, Energy Healing for Fertility, Pregnancy, Birth and Postpartum, Placenta Encapsulation, Advanced Comfort Measures for Birth, Prenatal Yoga, and a variety of retreats.
Some of Michelle's own doula students have gone on to not just have successful doula businesses, but are doula trainers or manage the doula training organization Michelle previously helped to develop and grow.
After years of contributing to the curriculum of, teaching and marketing a successful conventional national doula training organization, Michelle had to follow her path to develop a holistic program that included all of the modalities that she uses in her practice with her clients, a program that is true to the holistic nature of her work.
The Holistic Reproductive Practitioner training program is a culmination of more than 20 years of learning, teaching and working with clients both in the session room and at births. Michelle also brings a wealth of knowledge from her own experiences in healing, growth, struggle and transformation using a variety of techniques and modalities.
Her passion is contagious and her desire for others to find success and abundance through fulfilling work that supports others in their growth and healing is obvious.

Jennifer Lang, Teaching Assistant
Port Stanley, Ontario, Canada the traditional lands of the Mississauga, Attiewonderonk and Haudenosaunee people.
Jennifer is a Holistic Reproductive Practitioner currently living in Port Stanley, Ontario. Prior to joining the HRP program she spent 10 years living in British Columbia working as a Health Care Aide in various settings from long term care, community care, hospice, brain injury rehab, paediatric and adult mental health.
On top of her healthcare background, Jennifer is also a Yoga teacher, Meditation Facilitator and has received her Reiki Master in the Traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho system of natural healing.
Her interest in the HRP program came from being asked to be a friend's Doula, but wanting a different type of training experience. As well as wanting to shift her inner narrative of 'when' or 'if' she will have children, to a more positive understanding of her body and it's cycles.
Since beginning this course, Jennifer offers Reflexology, Reiki, Yoga, Meditation and Reproductive Support to a wide range of clients. She is currently on maternity leave after giving birth to her daughter Frankie in July 2020.
The HRP program is such a gift to oneself and those whom one will share this knowledge with. The teachings, connections, and deep personal work is incredibly transformational. Jennifer looks forward to helping support students along their own journey with By The Moon.

Stef Guthrie, Doula Trainer
Chelsea, Quebec, Canada, the traditional and unceded land of the Anishinabewaki and Algonquin people.
Here she spent 10 years in the field of education. Before and during this time, she experienced being a birth support person to many people in her close circle. In 2014, Stef took the next step by becoming a certified doula through HALO (now Doula Canada), and she is so grateful for the experience, teachings and connections that training brought.
It was her own struggle with fertility, and eventual understanding of the multitude of facets that impact fertility, that led to her further learning and exploration. Stef is now is a Holistic Reproductive Practitioner, through By the Moon, with experience as a Reiki Practitioner, Certifying Reflexologist, Fertility Mentor, and educator. Additionally, Stef is passionate about research, both scientific and experiential, and is currently working to understand the in-depth links between nutrition and hormone health.
Stef has supported many clients in the National Capital Region as both a doula and fertility support person. As a birth and fertility professional, Stef is dedicated to her contribution to reproductive justice and equitable access and representation with regard to fertility, pregnancy, birth and postpartum services, resources and support.
It was through her own doula training that the ever-growing love of reproductive health and support was born and life-long connections were made. Stef is thrilled and honored to be a part of the By the Moon team, where she looks forward to supporting and learning with students and clients every step of the way.
